Dell Xps 1640 Drivers

Installing Windows XP Pro 64 Bit Edition on Dell XPS 1640?

I recently bought the XPS 1640 notebook from Dell, and I want to remove the operating system that accompanies Microsoft Windows Home Premium 64-bit, Windows XP Pro 64 Bit Edition. It is a bad idea. For starters, Windows XP 64-bit is garbage. It is not supported very well and many 64-bit programs will not run on it. Secondly, the driver disk that came with the computer only has drivers for Vista, but does not contain all the XP drivers, much less XP 64-bit drivers (which are different from XP 32-bit drivers). On a final note, XP to Vista is inferior in almost every respect.
