All you need do is get a SATA II (sometimes called SATA 300) or "Serial ATA" You will want to get the retail box version which will include a SATA cable will need, and a CD with utilities partition "and then" format "the drive I would recommend Seagate, they are the largest manufacturer and one of them is 5 years No assurance preference, I'm just calling what will work for you Wal Mart, the stores also have many, Office Max, anyplace local units have SATA http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id = 8251562 Newegg, where I usually go, and is the consensus when you ask online, there is very fast, but they only have "OEM", which is just unity, not cable or utility, so if you get an OEM you need to get a SATA cable about 18 "should be long enough, the utility that you can do without, Windows can really do what your disk http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2000150014+50001305 +1035915133 & Name = SATA 3.0 Gb 2fs% Just remember you need a "SATA", which is not the same as an ATA, PATA or SATA IDE you can either be SATA I or SATA150 (both the same) SATA II or SATA 300 (both the same thing, faster than the 150) The 150 and 300 are interchangeable, the computer is newer so can support up to 300, if not, a unit of 300 will fall back to 150 speed and work well I'll cover that too, if you want, you can just get an external drive, just plug into a USB port and an AC power adapter (they are the ones that connect to SATA or firewire external, you will want the same "USB") Here is a link to (there really Maxtor and Seagate has 5 year warranty too) come in 2.5 "and 3.5" to 2.5 "are the" mini " that they will work with the power of USB ports and does not require an AC adapter, but the size (GB) http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList is limited. aspx? Submit = ENE & N = 2000150414 +50001304 & name = Maxtor http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=8001585
