My monitor 23 "will not be displayed in 1920 x 1080?

I have a Dell XPS 400 that I recently had set. We need a new motherboard and the parties were placed in a new case to fit the replacement mb. The man also had to repair Windows reload. For some reason, my monitor will not view in 1920 x 1080. I tried reinstalling the software, auto-adjust the monitor menu, and going to Properties and reset the resolution of the monitor screen. The slider will not 1920 x 1080 display as an option. What is strange is that I had my monitor displaying very well before I had my computer fixed. It is connected with an HDMI cable. Your problem is not your monitor. Installing a monitor driver will do absolutely nothing to solve your problem. Your problem is your video card.
