Why does my xbox 360 better than my computer games, or so it seems?

I have an Xbox 360 and a Dell XPS 400. Here are the specifications of my Dell XPS 400 3.2ghz Intel Dual Core 2 GB of RAM to 1GB ATI Radeon 3650 Soundblaster X-Fi sound card Windows XP Media Center and now an Xbox 360 can be better than my computer graphics wise? For an example I can set my screen resolution of 1900×1200 on my computer and lags. I have a 24-inch monitor thats good ultra-high def. On the other hand, the Xbox 360 lags rarely …. I'm confused here, an expensive computer howcome it's not like what I expected it to be, I thought it would make the Xbox 360 looks like a toy child.

Because the Xbox is designed specifically to play while the computer game was designed to be a computer that also plays games. Console Games games are written specifically to take advantage of the design of the Xbox. PC games can not be written to take full advantage of the capabilities of any particular computer, since that will be played in many different types of computers with different processors, monitors and graphics cards.
