Dell Xps 400 Video Card
How do you determine the amplifier power supply?
I am looking to buy a new video card and not sure if I need buy a new power supply or not. The video card requires: Minimum of a power supply 350 Watt. (Minimum recommended power with 12 Volt current rating of 18 Amp Amps.) My current power supply is 375v, but I have no idea how to check the volts / amps. And no clue atm the mark of my PSU now, since it came with my computer. If it is important, my computer is a Dell XPS 400, also here is a link to the online manual, if it helps at all. Yes, you will need to update power supply. Usually you can check the power usage of the computer using something like HWMonitor. That should give you a fair indicator of how much energy your computer uses. The power of your unit is simply volts times amperes, find the variable 2 and you have your answer. Good luck.
