Dell Xps 410 Memory Specs
The STARTUP is why Smart Bridge Program, part of the suite of Motive Broadband Manager software used by Internet service providers (ISPs) to help diagnose problems subscriber. Created by Motive Communications, now a subsidiary of Alcatel-Lucent, the software was deployed by Verizon Online in 2002 and since then has been used by several other providers around the world.
The suite is designed to help subscribers to the ISP self-diagnose connection problems, deal with existing software, and dealing with billing questions. It is accessed through an icon of online support in the Windows system tray.
DLL conflicts
The program motiveSB gained notoriety with the release of Microsoft's web browser IE7. After installing IE7, running ashDisp.exe would generate an error like:
"MotiveSB.EXE entry point not found. GetprocessimagefilenameW could not be located in the dynamic link library PSAPI.dll. "
PSAPI.dll is a library of codes distributed by Microsoft. PSAPI.dll routines are used for monitoring computer processes. The library is a part of Windows and can be used by any program. PSAPI.dll been updated as part of IE7 and became incompatible with motiveSB.EXE.
The Motive Broadband Manager Suite is not necessary therefore, you can disable it so that the program does not run at startup or erase the complete code.
Disable Startup
Disabling a program at startup does not remove it from your computer, it just tells Windows not to automatically run when you log on. This method has the advantage that if you need to run the program again, you can do it manually.
To disable motiveSB:
 • Click the Start menu and click Run, type "msconfig" (without the quotes) and press Enter. For Vista and Windows 7 type "msconfig" in the search box program.
 • Select the Startup tab.
 • Find the motiveSB the list.
 • Clear the option and click the OK button.
 • Restart your computer.
Remove Code
If you never use the code again, another solution is to remove the code entirely. The preferred method is to use the control panel of Windows to remove the software, but if that fails, you can remove it manually.
 • Find the folder containing the code. Is, probably in a folder called "C: Program Files YOURISP Support SmartBridge" where YOURISP is the name of your ISP in particular.
 • Delete the folder SmartBridge.
After removing motiveSB.EXE hand, you should use a registry cleaner to get rid of abandoned reg entries bloat and avoid registration.
