For your computer to function at what was done, it is important to keep your computer organized and clean. Try to think of your computer as your own little private office with all files of different machines. The purpose of an office is to make your business and work as efficiently as possible. This will only happen if your office is setup the way it was designed and has all the files and configuration of machines in their proper places and is organized the way it should.

Clean your computer:

Over time, your computer begins to collect a large amount of trash and garbage must be disposed of properly. Windows has a Disk Cleanup "utility that will scan your entire computer and then remove all the things that you are not charged uses and has no use in your computer. Performing a disk cleanup requires only a few clicks, and can be the difference between a fast or slow computer.

Getting rid of unused programs:

The control panel "add or remove programs" is where you can search through a list of all programs on your computer to see what you need and what you do not need. Excluding some programs that you no longer use is a great way to release a ton of space on your computer.

When you scroll through the list of programs there will be a little icon there showing you how many times you use the program. Consider getting rid of those who say they rarely or never. But make sure you know what you are deleting before you delete it. You do not want to end excluding an important and expensive piece of software.

Other ways to clean your computer:

You must also pass the files on your desktop and sort them in the appropriate folder to clear up some room. You can do the same with another folder outside your workspace. Get all your music in a folder and miscellaneous items in own folder.

One last thing you can do to really clear up some room and make your computer faster is to use the defragmentation. This is located in the same place as the disk cleanup. Defragmentation on your computer will have all the files that can not be thrown away and locate them in a more convenient location. This will help your computer to locate files and folders faster.
