Dell Xps 420 Motherboards

you think Dell is right about this with my computer?

I asked them if I could upgrade my power supply and they said that because of the motherboards that I could not so went you fought about it they say maximum power supply is 425 watts, I can they also go for about 550W, perhaps by the way is model XPS 420 thanks

I never heard of a motherboard has a maximum power supply before. But if the people who built the computer say that I do not tend to believe them.
