Installing a Dell AIO Printer 922 on a new computer with Windows Vista Basic?

I'm trying to install my Dell AIO Printer 922 on my new computer that has Windows Vista base. I dowloaded a driver so that it will take. It will print an alignment page, but not a test page or a document. It also shows that my ink levels are low and I know they are not. I have uninstalled the printer. I also noticed that the Microsoft XPS document writer installed computer. Could not cause my printer to install? I want to be able to use my printer instead of having to buy a new one.

Technically, you have to remove the printer drivers and the system and install new. Steps to reconnect Dell Photo AIO 922 for Vista: 1. Download the new driver R151371.exe Totallydrivers.com or other sites "Download" folder, but not install. 2. Remove the printer above: Control Panel> remove a printer (left side)> right click desired printer> delete. 3. Disconnect the printer (remove from the PC). 4. Reboot. 5. Delete all the content w32x86 folder in C: Windows system32 spool drivers W32x86. You can remove them to a temp folder, if desired, but they are all rubbish, if you're using Vista. 6. That is, install new driver double-click on R151371.exe and reconnect the printer and plug in power when directed to do so. 7.Dell Photo AIO Printer 922 Installation window appears and the installation will begin ….. take a few minutes.
