Dell Xps Battery Light Flashing

My battery light flashes on my laptop Dell XPS 140. What does this mean and how do I stop it?

I had the original battery dell, until recently, when my laptop as display a message saying "your battery will continue to load normally, but is nearing the end of its useful life." Then, I decided to get a new battery for it. I asked an Amazon, since they do not sell Dell at Best Buy. I keep it plugged into an electrical outlet and keep it all days and I turn the laptop at night. It was a blinking orange continuously since I got the new battery. I'm sure this is not a good thing, because he never did this before. WO does this mean and how do I get it to stop? I got a bad battery?
