Dell Xps Bios Battery

Problems BIOS update?

I was updating the bios on my Dell Studio XPS 16 when a program came along and froze the computer. I let it rest for a few minutes, but was still frozen, I tried to use the off switch to restart it without success. I had to take the battery. the computer is dead now. Now that I have the replacment, how should I prevent this from happening again?

wow you screwed that up lol, I have the same computer and did not have a problem Updating the BIOS A08 I believe. If I remember correctly it takes some time for the update … so when you rushed and that you screwed up the whole update … but you may not always have to update if theres no update problem why?
