Re-install Vista on the Dell XPS M1330 the wifi does not work (READ ENTIRE QUESTION PLEASE)?

I did a clean install of Vista on a disk 500 GB and put in the drivers CD. Everything is installed the best of my knowledge, but for all my work: I CANNOT GET TO MY LAPTON receive WIFI signals. At one point I was 6 inches away from my router. The Old 150GB HDD I worked well, but this will not help please? means, literally, will not receive the signal at the receiver wi-fi, or network connections, it just says that there are no networks in range
