In part three, delete the existing registry files and copy the files to restore the system registry for
C: / folder windows/system32/config.

From the Recovery Console, type the following commands, and remember to replace the bar with a backslash.

del C: / windows/system32/config/sam

del C: / windows/system32/config/security

del C: / windows/system32/config/software

del C: / windows/system32/config/default

del C: / windows/system32/config/system

copy C: / windows / tmp / _REGISTRY_MACHINE_SOFTWARE C: / windows/system32/config/software

copy C: / windows / tmp / _REGISTRY_MACHINE_SYSTEM C: / windows/system32/config/system

copy C: / windows / tmp / _REGISTRY_MACHINE_SAM C: / windows/system32/config/sam

copy C: / windows / tmp / _REGISTRY_MACHINE_SECURITY C: / windows/system32/config/security

copy C: / windows / tmp / C _registry_machine_.default: / Windows/system32/config/.default

Now YouÂ're done! Exit the computer will reboot to restore any file that you choose. But wait, if itÂ's not a right, That's ok, now you can go in your area of system restore and choose a restore point different, if you want. There will be a whole calendar full of them. I bet you did not know that Windows XP creates a restore point every time you start with success your machine.

Here is like stepping into the restaurants, if you want to select a different restore point:

1. Click Start, click All Programs.

2. Click Accessories, and then click System Tools.

3. Click on system restore and then click Restore to a previous restore point.

4. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the process.
