Dell Xps Ethernet Drivers

Computer wont recognize Ethernet Cord?

I am 100% positive that the Ethernet cable is working because when I plug it into my laptop, works fine. But when I plug it in my Dell XPS that does nothing. As the XPS does not even realize that I just plugged in anything. I think it could be the driver, but not sure. Can someone please help me? I dont know if this helps, but I have a network adapter 1394

Please let us know what kind of Ethernet card do u have. I think that problem driver. If you have the driver CD, then do this … 1. Connect the Ethernet card in the Dell machine ur. 2. right click on my computer. click manage, then click manager devices. 3. must be one that shows unknown device. Uninstall it. 4. Unplug your Ethernet card. 5. Install the driver CD. and reboot. 6. after running your operating system plug in ur ethernet card. Can cause it works now. Others may be your ethernet card is disabled .. then allow the device manager [as shown above] and then network adapters. then enable. or proxy settings or MAC address is not included in Dell PC contact ur ISP.
