Help scanner fingerprint?

I have a Dell XPS M1530 with a biometric scanner pingerprint. Last fall he has a virus bad and the hard disk had to be deleted. Since getting back, I realize the fingerprint reader does not work / records. Did they forget loading the software back? How do I retrieve it?
