Dell Xps Freezes

I have a Dell XPS 420 w / a desktop ATI Radeon 2400 graphics card. What should I upgrade?

what I have just the games Half-Life 2 and WoW. However, when I touch them, There are certain times when my comp will freeze and start to stammer, making me have to manually restart my computer. I've been told that this is face for my graphics card, so I'm looking for suggestions on a better than my current ATI Radeon HD 2400. I really need help on this people, thank you in advance. It really depends on what your budget is, and how long you want it to last. Bright, better to last longer. if your 50-150 dollars, I suggest the 8800GT, its better in that price range and can operate without problems in most games. If you do not want spend more than $ 100, you can look for a Radeon 3650.
