How to activate the numeric keypad on a Dell XPS 1530?

The keys appear in the U, I, O, etc. (0 to 9) I thought I put a lock they open the lid, but it seems the opposite. Does anyone know how to enable this function?

In order to use the number keys on your system you will need to ensure that the Num Lock key is on (press the Num Lk, if not). Once this is lit you must press and hold the Fn key and then press U, I, O, etc. for the numbers to be used instead of letters. I hope this helps.
