what kind of RAM should I buy?
ok I'm wanting to upgrade the RAM on my computer from 1 GB (2 512 MB) of RAM to 2 GB (I've upgraded to Vista and RAM is the only thing I do not have more than recommended). I do not know what kind of RAM I have, aside from this, which is the only thing on the label of RAM: 512 MB 1Rx8 PC2 420LA 444 12 D3 just so you know my computer is 2 years old Dell XPS Gen 5 and the Samsung RAM for it. I did this research before and I can not find anything to help me out, I have asked some friends who know more about it than me, and they were not able to help me. If anyone can help me here I'll probably take it into Geek Squad and they have to help me with it.
It seems to be RDRAM. Go to dell.com and enter the label service, you should be able to find the boy's memory you have, and that the maximum amount is.
