Dell not even close. Identical processors, RAM almost identical (difference is not noticeable, just more difficult to upgrade later), FAR better graphics card (a crap one is really good), and a savings of $ 30 that can be spent to purchase a $ 15 sound with no difference in quality unless you are using a 7.1 setup (or use onboard sound, hard to notice a difference). Actually, HP is not better for any thing. The only thing that has really improved and is almost worth considering is the optical drive, but it is not worth enough to drain a video card high quality. The HD5770 is better than the GT230 in every way possible, and is even better than the GTS250, only being beaten by GTX260 (and later, of course).
