What is the best notebook – the new dell xps studio 16 or HP HDX 18t?

I am looking for a replacement notebook Windows Operating System desktop, with a lot of multimedia power, construction of high quality, reliability and good, all for less than $ 2000. I do not need it to be portable, although I'd like to move with it, if necessary. I researched enough, and the two best notebooks I found in this price range are the Dell XPS 16 and HP HDX 18t. I know Dell has some heat problems, though, because I do not do any game, this should not be a problem, especially with a waterblock. HP is massive – Perhaps too massive – and I have doubts about the quality of HP (I have only ever owned Dell laptops), and the really cheap looking chrome look. Someone has suggestions? I also love to hear from you if you have one of these notebooks, and have an idea of its quality, performance, etc.. Thank you. I can not speak to HP, but I have Dell Studio XPS 16 and love it. Yes, he can run hot and is like a gallery for fingerprints, but outside of that is great. I use a cheap cooling pad and bring the heat down as well. You'll love the screen with 1920×1080 is wonderful. You will not find a better LED screen on a laptop. I'm running with 8 GB of RAM Vista Home Premium and all the material of Adobe (Photoshop, Premier, Soundbooth). Call of Duty 4, it goes well for any video or photo editing is a breeze. In fact, you can run them all at once and iTunes, and some browsers and anything else which could handle it. (seriously, I'll take a break from work, leave all my things and throw open Adobe in a quick game of COD4). Never had an accident. The battery life is limp (about 2 hours), but you do not sound as if you move a lot. Leo Laporte has a Dell Studio XPS 16 and loves.
