Dell Xps Hinges

It's my lap top or the quality of construction of Dell?

I have my Dell laptop last year around this time that the laptop is about 1 year age. It is a model worthy XPS M140, but the hinge is so loose. I use my laptop, but the day that I use is one place in my room, so I do not abuse it. Now the stones of the screen back and forth. No way to tighten? This is normal for a Dell or I just have a bad? PPC, I have bought a Dell XPS M140 about a year ago, and this time I have experienced some "problems". One issue was how you describes – hinges loose which caused the screen to rock and back. I tired to send my laptop back for warranty work and learned what was causing the problem and found six bolts that essentially keep the hinges in place. Heres the basics. Your hinges are held in place by two screws which can be found in "hinge cover. Removed the cover and tighten the screws. Here is the link to the documentation on how to remove the hinge http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/xps140m/en/sm/hinge0.htm # Wp1124080 Furthermore, there is one screw on each side of the frame of the screen. (lower right and left, near the hinges) The screw is hidden under one stop round rubber that can be easily removed. Tighten the screws too. I hope this helps:)
