Dell Xps History

Which Dell Laptop for Designer-Part II (different models)?
Somehow, my question was deleted, thankfully, the responses were stored in history, thanks to those who responded. Now that I know what hardware I need in my Dell laptop to run Photoshop, Dreamweaver, etc., and since you can choose a custom configuration, are the only differences in the (models XPS vs Inspiron vs Latitude) cosmetics? I was thinking of XPS, but a monitor 17 "is too big, I would like a range of 14 or 15."
The differences are mostly cosmetic *, in fact, the Inspiron and Latitude models are generally the same computer with different brand home (Inspiron) and business (Latitude) users. However, XPS models tend to have more power (as upgrade options), because they are intended primarily as gaming machines. XPS owners also get better service options, as being bumped from the front line of customer service if you call with any problems. I also believe that Apple's notebooks and MacBook Pro has a Core 2 Duo (two cores on a chip), can run Windows natively with Boot Camp, and come in 13 "(MacBook) and 15 (MacBook Pro) models: http://www.apple.com/macbook/
