Dell Xps Laptop Video Card

It is difficult to install a new motherboard and video card in a laptop?

My video card recently went through on my Dell XPS M1210. The video card of course soldered to the motherboard so I have to replace both if I want this computer to work again. I can buy the motherboard online combination of video card for about $ 250 after shipping. I have next to zero money but need a computer. It's so hard to install a new motherboard right? I took this computer apart several times to replace RAM, ropes, etc. so I'm not completely inexperienced. Besides the physical plant have anything else to be done within the system settings, etc.? Any help is appreciated and if I could give a computer younger than me. The $ 250 is pushing it as is. Thank you. I have stripped this remote computer before so I know how to remove all components. If there is a decent computer out there for less than $ 300 let me know.
