Some examples of ODMs are Mitac, Clevo, Compal and Quanta. Generally, people are not aware of these companies. However, people use their products under the name of a computer company brand.

Quanta is the ODM of Lenovo, which is the creator of the series of ThinkPad laptops. Lenovo acts as an OEM. Earlier LG was the ODM for IBM. After he took the Lenovo Group of IBM, which even changed its MDGs for Quanta and up to date maintained their ODM Quanta as constant. Lenovo has made a number very small laptops in the past.
Thus, manufacturers of laptops are not really the companies producing laptops, but the MDGs.
