I buy a Mac or a Dell?

im goin to upgrade my acer extensa and can not decide whether to get a Dell or mac book. I know that Mac is quicker and a lot of people think is better, but I never even tried the Mac OS and I do not know how it would be difficult for me. the host computer in my house is a Compaq with Windows Vista and in my school is that all computers with XP. I just wonder how long it will take to get used to the Mac OS and if it is worth. Dell computer I'll buy is a XPS M1330 with 4 GB ram@2.5 gh which is about 1300. I would buy a MacBook or MacBook Pro for the lowest price the same. I also have an iPod, if it means something

Mac is much faster than the Dell. All you can do with the Dell can be all done on a Mac with 3 times faster.
