Dell Xps M140 Battery Adapter

Dell XPS M140 battery lasts only about 20 minutes, why?

I have a Dell XPS M140 and I am very rarly him out of the adapter (I think I heard it was bad somewhere) anyway when I get him out of the adapter that only takes about 20 – 25 minutes, even less when I'm running a program quite robust. this happen to anyone else knows why, and I have to for a new battery for it?

This may happen sooner if the User never disconnect the laptop, or when using the battery, the User does not allow to completely discharge before you put it back (the battery is a memory – as if you start charging when it is only 50% drained, then, on the future use, the battery will want to be charged each time uncharges that 50% of its capacity). You do not need a new battery unless you really need to use it in batteries for more than 20 minutes.
