Why does the LCD not working – Dell XPS M1730 – HELP!?

Hi, I recently re – install Windows on my laptop Dell XPS M1730, also installation CD driver and utility and Media Direct 3.5 software. The last I installed correctly, after reading about it, so I know that is not the problem, I have installed correctly. The problem is that the LCD screen of the laptop, for people who do not know what I'm talking about is the little black screen above keyboard to the right in the picture below: This http://www.pclaunches.com/ entry_images/0807/04/dell_xps-1730-1-thumb.jpg screen usually shows details such as time, the game statistics, etc., but know that XPS only has written white permanently. There was a dell direct option on my list of program that I could click and change the sequence of which was shown the screen, but I can not seem to find it now either. Can anyone help me sort this little problem, I really appreciate it. Kind regards, Mark

Hi Mark, I see you say that you have installed some drivers, but the problem is probably you have not installed the necessary driver for the LCD screen.
