Dell Xps Macbook

Laptop would you recommend, Macbook or Dell XPS M1330?
I'll be going to college in the fall as a biology major and my university is offering these two laptops for about the same price as the MacBook (including the iPod touch and free HP). I'll be using my laptop for basic tasks and will not be to make any game. Which would you recommend and why? (Dell comes with a guarantee of accidental damage, but not Macbook). Take the book and add mac some insurance for him. This way, you have a machine that is easy to use and you also have a printer and an mp3 player, you will have buy if you have a PC.
