Dell XPS computer webcam?

I just got a brand new XPS 720 for Christmas with pretty much it. I have a monitor (Dell), which has a video camera and a microphone built into the screen as the Mac do. for some reason I can not video chat with someone. as people say about your taste iChat grayed out because it says in its use, and people on AIM says I can not invite me. what is the problem? How do I fix this?

First of all, sweet! Nice Sun Second place, I am unable to find anything more about the webcam, or check out the manual for all the tips I do not know what monitor you got. Here is what you can do, But click on this link, select the type of monitor you have, select English and then check the User manual (HTML option) to see if there some instructions on how to work the webcam. http://support.dell.com/support/systemsinfo/documentation.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs & ~ Subcat = 154 & ~ cat = 3 You did install the software that came with the monitor? Without the software and drivers, it will not work. If you did, then there may be some adjustments to the webcam application that need to be moved.
