XPS motherboard replacement?

I have a Gen 4 XPS desktop socket 775 PCI Express. I was wondering if there was another mother that I could put on xps case to replace my existing one. I really want to keep the same setup I have going now. I called Dell and they said they'd ship my mother more than 3 motnhs ago and is getting sent back and I can not find my mother anywhere online. any ideas?

Yes, but not the answer you wanta 'listen, I'm afraid! Dell is a manufacturer of specialties, which means that they have built their computers, so that only parts will work. (They are not the only ones. I'm afraid!) Nothing against Dell, but I build my own meaning., I have had with manufacture of Dell. At one time had their power supplies, (ALL pre-built computers, have their parts made by manufacturers of parts, not by the computer manufacturer that makes the computer), so that the power cords on the 20/24 pin ATX connector to the motherboard, do not follow the usual configuration. They put the wires into holes of different socket in the connector. The Black (Earth), Orange (12 volts), Red (5 volts) and Green (Soft Power On), were placed in orbits the connector, which does not correspond to the normal pattern. This means that if a User has bought a power supply an external source, not Dell, it would burn motherboard! (Sometimes, the processor, RAM and graphics card installed!) If a User has been informed, they checked the arrangement first, and used a needle for sewing change the power cords around! (LOL!) This is not a slam on Dell! Is your computer design, and they are allowed to do them however they see fit. I mean, you have to buy from them, or move on their "knowledge techie '! (Needle?) They also have cases of computer ownership, of a species. The BTX form factor computer case was used a lot. This case project is designed to be the new style, but not really caught on, and I suspect it will not! With a little research, you can join a chat-it-to-the-wall computer, for less money than you paid for the Dell!
