It is easy to update a Dell PC, adding additional memory. Not so easy to upgrade another big processor. As processors increase in power, which usually require a different layout, size, shape and number of pins. Typically, a new faster processor and more powerful, not will fit in the slot for the processor of age. So, you're usually stuck with the original processor. The Studio PCs come with several different cases. Some of them have enough space for an internal hard drive. Others do not. You need to check the Dell website to see how many "bays" The case has. But either is able to use an external USB drive. So, you can always add a second drive, going with an external. It's faster and easier than trying to add a second internal drive, and can also be moved easily between the computer if you need data transfer or purchase a new computer and want to move the drive to it.
