Refurbished laptops are a good option to save money?

I'm looking for a good laptop that I use for games. I do not play many games that require a ton of memory or graphics. The most performance-demanding game I play is World of Warcraft. I was looking at the Outlet seciton from Dell and found that I get a "pre-ordered new" Insperion laptop for about $ 800 or a "Certificate or" Dell XPS M1530 for about $ 1100. Will this a good choice for a gaming laptop? or is there a better option? My budget for a laptop is about $ 1200 max. Thank you.
