Dell XPS 400 people who underwent PCI-E graphics upgrade?

I'm trying to upgrade my Dell XPS 400 with a brand new evga 8800 gs I asked for newegg.com (which is a gr8 site if you do not know, has better prices) and say that I'm having difficulty would be a huge understatement. I spent about an hour trying to blocking the metal plate (plate io) i didn't get out and all I did was lose a screw that fell on the case. So can someone please tell me exactly how to take the card out so I can install the card stupid that I'm beginning to think that it isn't worth it, but any help would be greatly appreaciated.
