Dell Xps Quad Core

Questions about the Dell XPS 420. Who has? Any1 know if its a good computer?

I'm thinking about buying Dell XPS420 and I was wondering how it is. Any suggestions than to obtain. What processor? I do not know if I should get the Intel Core 2 Q6600 Quad-Core or Intel Core 2 Duo E685. I will be using this computer is home and will not be used for games, mostly just for surfing the web and running multiple applications at the same time.

You mean the processor Intel E6850? If it is 6850, which is a core, 3GHz dual. The 3Ghz will be significantly faster, even if the other Quad Core. Reason being, the quad core Q6600 is as a workhorse, he is powerful, but still slower than the processor in contact with 3Ghz. quad core is essentially very good to use as DVD encoding, editing, Photoshop, intense multitasking, etc. But, if you will use it to surf the web and running applications, the 3Ghz 6850 is the way to go.
