Dell Xps Remote Control
Setting infrared receiver for my Dell XPS 420?
I bought a Dell XPS 420 alomost a year ago and it came with an infrared remote and receiver. I realized recently the remote receiver has a wire and a transmitter at the end that connects to one of the two inserts in the receiver marked IR1 and IR2. I believe it is so you can use remote controls for other electronics that are hidden in closets, connecting the transmitter sticky to the infrared sensor of the device you want to control. That is what is intended and if so how do I set it up, do not seem to work for me. blamay22: this means that the receiver send only a predefined list of devices? when I shot my TV remote control for it flashes red light so I know that the senses, but it doesn t 'I forwarded it to the issuers litter attached in IR1 and IR2?
These are to control the laptop and nothing else. IE, you can set your laptop somewhere off-site control and a presentation slide while walking around.
