Computer runs slow after installing iTunes and music?

I have a Dell XPS 400 with a gig of RAM and only 22% used on drive C. I tried to install a partition, but had to stop it since I could not put all my iTunes there due to size. I also run defragment and run software security. I was also about what I do not want to run at startup. What can I do to make my computer run faster? I was thinking about moving iTunes and all music from a pen drive external hard disk /. Let me know. Running XP I too was looking to expand the RAM iTunes or switch to a stick.

Sounds like your doing everything right. The 22% used does not sound like a problem, but the size of iTunes not being able to put in a partition is a concern. You have a software to tweak "settings" of Windows, such as System Mechanic? That might help a little. Otherwise, you can check with Dell. Good luck!
