Dell XPS Service tag invalid?
I Hi, last week bought a Dell XPS M1730 off ebay … after I get that I wanted to check your warranty and much needed service tag number which is usually at the bottom of the laptop, but in this case was not so … I went into the bios and have the tag number service, which is as follows: 7VTK3J! but after putting in the Dell website I get an error saying that the service tag is not valid … has anyone else come across this problem before and can someone please give me any suggestions for what I can do … Thanks
i hav a laptop XPS and when the verification and guarantee u thing we should talk with a support person on the phone. u will need to fix it before sumthing not spoil the computer I hav no guarantee at all. If the service tag is wrong or invalid what they will do is find the Express Service Code and find the service tag accordingly. in some cases, if any of the information they sound u wrong either way they will not even believe that u have a CPU. and Dell is that I bitch to deal with them in any way made a mistake in my service tag and they would send a technician to my house or sum shit just make sure when you fuck up on sumthing ue can be sure it will be because its a dell. u sure do talk as soon as possible to them that this helps you. ur xps support in Canada is – and if u 1-866-398-8977 Service customers get to tell them u need ur service code correct. again I hope this helps.
