Dell Xps T500 Drivers

I have a Dell XPS T500 and would like to install a new regular Dell mouse and keyboard?

The computer is XP and it should come with programs to make mouse and keyboard work, but when I plug them in the work that they do not just freeze the computer is old, but it should come with the drivers can any1 please help me with It would therefore be very much appreciated the problem is because of the age of the computer doesn't read USB keyboard, but I have an adapter thing that changes for the former type of connection, but it doesn't work does anyone no where i can get the drivers or the program to run them

ok. they will freeze because they plug in when the computer is on. try to shut down the computer first put them again. then connect the computer to the computer will detect new hardware devices installed and the windows will manage them so that they work properly.
