Dell Xps Tower

It's time for a new desktop?
I have a Dell Dimension 1998 desktop XPS R400 with a speed of 400 MH, 512 MB memory, 13 GB hard disk and Windows XP Professional. Should I get a Mac or a Windows-based? Should I get Vista or Windows 7? I have a ROM or DVD Blue-Ray? I have a desktop Sam's Club, from the Apple Store, or in order? If I get an Apple that I should get a mini or a tower?
You did not say what you do with it or want to do him. Since I've been involved with computers (since '79) who was the # 1 criteria. Do not think about the price difference between a Defender and on a Mac because the Mac is like buying a Defender with Windows 7 Business / Pro, which will have such a high resale value as a Mac in 3-5 years when you're ready to upgrade. You also did not mention the price in the budget. The iMac comes in $ 1200 while the tower is twice the price and better suited for heavy graphics / Video / music. The mini is good because it is small and totally silent (something you'll notice right away … it's about?, The light will tell you). Also consider a laptop, which is nice for portability, and if you have an LCD monitor you can get a 17 "LCD to connect it to the home $ 100 today. Go to the Apple store if you have one near you and spend time with each one. If you buy online or in store makes no difference in price, but with Tax (Store) and post them online (try PowerMax.com). Macmall often throw in things very http://tinyurl.com/nf54qg PS. You can run Windows and Linux on the Mac as far as Windows SIM will receive Windows 7 and if you get at Sam's Club or online, no matter, because the MFG (HP, Dell, etc.) will be making the guarantee. DVD or Blue-Ray? Depends on whether you will use it to watch new movies (DVDs are not old Blue-Ray) … (Hint: I get free movies from the local library, online booking and they call or e-mail when I arrive and take them for 3 weeks – is also good and redbox.com netflix.com) Final Comment: upgrade the memory to at least 4GB, 6GB, if possible.
