Dell Xps Two Monitors

Question inside …….. please help!?

I just got a new Dell XPS 410 … … and I'm trying to configure it. I'm in the stage of connecting the monitor. In instuctions says "your computer supports one VGA and one DVI connector. If you are connecting two monitors that have VGA connectors, you must use the optional DVI to VGA. If you are connecting two flat panel monitors, at least one of them must have a VGA connector. If you are connecting a television you can only connect one monitor (VGA or DVI) in addition to television. "Then he starts to tell and show how to connect two monitors, but not how to connect only one monitor, I'm trying to do. I'm so confused on which cables to use.
