HELP with memory upgrade for Dell XPS M1730?

Hi all, I have a Dell XPS M1730 with 2GB of memory and im running vista, I was thinking about upgrading to 8GB memory, but I would not, DDR3 would be working on XPS, or is it just one of the works DDR2 thats also if anyone knows a better memory to buy and where ..? request online game, once again thanks to all
