Dell Xps Volume Control

Are you regularly back up the hard drive of your PC? It was said that there are two kinds of people … those who had a hard crash and who goes. I say you some easy ways to protect your data.
And I present my qualifications by saying that I have experience with data storage and backup. And you know the definition of the right to experiment? Experience is what you get when you do not get what you wanted!
Let me start by saying that I have used various types of backup devices over the years. I used cassette tapes, diskettes, tape cartridges, disk cartridges, CDs, Recordable DVDs and external drives. And I still recommend some form of this type of backup today. For today's high-capacity disk drives, you can not go wrong, backing up, at least the most important data in some external means. Because even if you do not use your PC to store sensitive personal and financial, there is still the definitions configuration for your PC, you may not want to miss.
Now you can buy hardware and software that automatically starts back up and the cycles of media backup in and out of the backup device, if necessary. But this tends to be expensive and is best left to the servers. I'll leave that for another time.
If your system has a drive that supports recordable CDs or DVDs that you can manually backup your hard drive on this type of media. CDs and DVDs may contain 650 megabytes (MB) to 4 gigabtyes (GB) and more data. Your CD or DVD, probably came with software that allows you to drag copies of data from hard disk to the folder the CD or DVD. Or it may even include some automatic backup software. A disadvantage of CDs and DVDs is the same hard drives today typically do not fit in one of these. With hard drives in the range of 10-200GB are common. It is not uncommon to see 250GB drives now. Another drawback is the recording speed. Alongside high-speed CD or DVD recorders that can take a long time.
Another option is an external drive. Large sizes are available which makes it possible to backup your entire hard disk in many cases. And hard drives are very fast. You can copy an entire disc quickly.
However many people have trouble backing up data on a regular schedule. I am a people! I mean, I'm a person and I just can not make the time to back up my data.
So I'll tell you what I do. I use the mirrors! Not smoke and mirrors … only mirrors. My machine I have two hard drives … not double my storage capacity, but to provide ongoing support of my hard drive. Every time my computer burn the disc, he actually writes the same data to two different disk drives. They are a mirror image of each other. Most Windows computers since Windows NT had this ability.
The first and most painful part is to get two hard drives in your system. I usually buy my computers this way, but I added hard later. It is exorbitantly expensive though. Hard drives, even large hard drives, are a reasonable price in those days. It is usually best have the two hard drives of the same size (or area of waste in some way). And I like having the units of the same manufacturer (but maybe I'm just anal). I say painful, because you, or someone will have to open the PC and put a second drive if you have one. If you do not feel ready to do this, check with your nearest store PC. Most will do this for you, for a fee or for free if you buy the hard drive there. They may even take the next step is to configure the mirror.
After that, you go to Control Panel, select Administrative Tools and then select Computer Management, then click Disk Management. You right-click on the existing or "old" volume "and select" Add Mirror " then right click the mouse on the new disk that will host the mirror and select "Add Mirror". This will create a mirror and, initially, copy data drive the "old" to the "mirror" again. Subsequently, the data is automatically written to both drives, when the changes occur or updates. You can also view the status of your mirrored volumes to make sure the mirrors are healthy and all your data is backed up. Systems Windows, you can not see the options mirror until you have a new unused drive in your system where you can create a mirror. There are instructions detailed for your version of Windows from Microsoft.
I recommend to all my friends to create mirrored disks. I had a couple of friends call me to say that had noise Electric hard aa. Instead of a catastrophic loss of data, it became a minor inconvenience, as we recovered the data from another disk. They expressed gratitude for ever and said it would be forever grateful … because they could not pay me anything!
What is your reaction when you have this crash hard?
