How do I know if my power supply is bad on my pc?

when I turn the power on my Dell XPS 420, the light in front, "the power of light" is a solid yellow and took little in the back of the power supply blinks greeen non-stop. The computer doesn't boot and post doesn't. I have everything off and reinstalled, "RAM, video card, CPU and checked all connections and everything seems fine. Culd this mean your psu to blame here, or is the motherboard?

You mean the power light is orange-yellow? If so, the PSU failed. Just to make sure you do not bother to turn on computer everything, right? If the computer does not start at all, then it is the PSU. Most likely it was damaged by a shortage of energy or something else.
