steps to build a desktop for gaming?
I was thinking from step 1, which is the process of building a desktop for gaming. I know I need a case, motherboard, RAM, hard disk, video card, sound and CPU? im not sure if this is anything or not. Video games depend on 1-2-video card RAM 3-CPU in that order. Get worse than you can in. You do not need a quad for games now because we are still writing games for dual cores and quad usually come into play by almost a year. Best to get a 8500 or E8400 CPU, a Zalman 9700 and clock it to around 3.8. Get 4GBs of the fastest Corsair XMS your card will be executed and a video card 9800 and a 550watt PSU Corsair. The case, DVD drives, or any other matter of custom, as you cover these 3 things. I build and sell equipment to high end game and use 64bit Vista Premium or Ultimate DirectX10 For, where at least their games now. My gaming platforms start at $ 2000. Do not expect to build a high-end gamer to 800, but you can build one that plays well, since you do not waste money on a Blu-ray and $ 200 cases etc.
