Want to build a new game comp …?

Wanting some tips: was looking around for prices, and I'm hoping to be equal to or below U.S. $ 1200. There are some things I did not quite get: SLI for example, I know it is used for multi-monitor, and to increase performance, but I use SLI with only one monitor? I do not quite get how it's supposed to increase performance if you use it on two monitors. Also, hoping people can give me tips (Maybe same links) for some decent parts. Trying to compare items NewEgg for just one comp iBUYPOWER. Thanks for any advice / Explainations I get.

Go with the Intel Core i7-860 processor ($ 300). Super fast, but good value and can be overclocked to 30%! Choose the ASUS P7P55D LE ($ 150). Buy 4GB DDR3/1333 MHz Dual Channel ($ 100). And then add to that an ATI Radeon 4890-1GB Video Card or 4870-2GB ($ 250). Add to this a Cooler Master V8 CPU ($ 75), 500 Watt Power Supply ($ 40), an Apevia X-Cruiser Mid-Tower Case ($ 75), and Windows 7 Op Home Premium System ($ 100), 500GB hard drive ($ 60), and a DVD + / — RW ($ 30). I think it's just under $ 1200, but that is about as good a combination as you will see and will run as a system of $ 2000 +. If you a little more money, upgrade your motherboard ASUS P7P55D luxury, the 8GB memory, video card, 2GB-4890 or ATI 5870, hard drive 1 TB, power supply 700 Watts, and best DVD (in that order).
